We help animals
What started in 2016 as feeding homeless animals in the neighborhood has grown into a massive PlayDuck Charity.
We wanted not only to have “kitchen conversations” about stray cats and dogs who were dying on the streets from hunger, cold or disease, but to save animals systematically. In 2019 Alexey (owner & CEO of PlayDuck) decided to act on a large scale and became a co-founder of the organization ShasSpasu to help street and abandoned animals and find loving families for them.
Today PlayDuck Charity combines monthly assistance to 34 shelters, volunteers and organizations (4 lapu, Artemon, Dom Hvostov, Bolshoye Serdce, PPY, ShasSpasu, Hochy Kota, KARG, White Rock, Supiy Lake and other).
We fund food, animal rescues, build enclosures and organize care for cats, dogs, rodents, birds. We have bears, raccoons and wolves in our care.

Our rules and principles
I have been helping animals since 2016. Throughout these years, I’ve encountered many kind-hearted and exceptional individuals, alongside a considerable number who displayed less favorable qualities.
Therefore, I want to publicly post the principles of assistance of our community so that we do not have to repeat ourselves each time.
We are a small community of IT entrepreneurs who love animals and want to help animals and people/organizations that care for animals. We help with our own money, without collecting donations from the community. Hence, our obligations extend only to ourselves, and we are beholden to no one else.
We take care of 34 shelters and organizations, and we cannot take in new wards, despite our desire to do so.
Having learnt from years of experience, we would like to emphasize that the following manipulations are unacceptable:
- good deeds must be done quietly;
- you owe me, so do it quickly;
- I have found a kitten and you have to save it;
- for my donation, I expect you to provide me with services free of charge;
- I know better what you should do.
We will simply ban such impudent individuals.
We help those we believe need it, in the way we think is best. Do you know better? Great, go ahead and do it yourself.
